1. About these terms
These terms govern bookings, consultations and use of ILBS services unless a separate client care letter or written agreement applies. Where there is any inconsistency, the specific written agreement for the matter will prevail.
2. Nature of ILBS services
ILBS provides consultancy, information organisation, document preparation, procedural support and professional referral services. ILBS is not a firm of solicitors and does not undertake reserved legal activities unless the work is delivered through an appropriately authorised professional.
3. Initial consultation
The initial consultation fee is £150 for up to 60 minutes. Payment is due in advance. A booking is not confirmed until ILBS has accepted the appointment and received cleared payment.
4. Appointment formats
Consultations are offered in person or by Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, WhatsApp Video or, where appropriate, WhatsApp Voice. ILBS does not offer traditional telephone consultations or unscheduled telephone advice.
5. Recording
Consultations are normally audio and/or video recorded to support accuracy, continuity, quality assurance, training, attendance notes, digital case management and AI-assisted administration. Clients will be informed at the outset and consent obtained where required.
6. Cancellations and rescheduling
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, requests to reschedule should be made at least 24 hours before the appointment. Missed appointments or late cancellations may be charged in full. ILBS may reschedule where necessary and will offer a reasonable alternative.
7. Client responsibilities
You must provide accurate and complete information, preserve relevant evidence, supply requested documents promptly, comply with deadlines, and tell us immediately about material changes or communications from third parties.
8. Additional work and fees
Work beyond the initial consultation is not included in the £150 fee. Any additional scope and fee will be agreed separately in writing before substantive additional work begins.
9. Referrals
Where specialist or regulated representation is required, ILBS may recommend an independent professional. Any professional referred acts independently under their own terms, and ILBS does not guarantee their advice or outcome.
10. No guarantee of outcome
ILBS cannot guarantee any legal, regulatory, commercial, immigration, employment, educational or other outcome. Advice and recommendations depend on the information available at the time.
11. Confidentiality and data protection
We handle information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Recording & AI Policy, subject to legal and professional obligations.
12. Liability
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that limitation, ILBS is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, third-party decisions, or loss arising from incomplete, inaccurate or late information supplied by the client.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
